The presentation at the Temple: a place where a face to face encounter with Adonai had been made possible

” At the fulfillment of the eight days for the boy he was circumcised, and they named Him Yeshua, just as the angel had called Him before He was conceived in the womb.

When the days of their purification were fulfilled according to the Torah of Mosheh, they brought Him up to Yerushalayim to place Him before Hashem- as it is written in the Torah of Hashem, ” every male that opens the womb will be called holy before Hashem.”, and to bring korban according to the mitzvah in the Torah of Hashem” two turtledoves or two young pigeons.”

There was a man in Yerushalayim whose name was Shim’on. He was a righteous and devout man, waiting for the consolation of Yisrael , and the Holy Spirit was upon him. To him it had been revaled by the Holy Spirit that he would not see death until he saw the Maschiach of Hashem. He came by the Spirit to the Temple, and when his parents brought the boy Yeshua to do him what the statute of the Torah says, he took him up in the arms and blessed God. He said:

” Now you may let your servant pass away according to your word, my Master, in peace..

For my eyes have seen your Salvation, that you have prepared before all the peoples: light to illuminate the eyes of the nations and the majesty of your people Yisrael.”

His father and his mother were amazed at the words that he spoke about Him. Shim’on blessed them and said to His mother Miryam:

“See, this is affixed as an obstacle and restoration for many in Yisrael and as a sign of contention.

And a sword will pierce your soul, so that the hearts of many will be revealed.

A woman who was a prophetess was there: Channah bat Penuel, from the tribe of Asher. She was elderly abd had lived with her husband for seven years after her virginity. She had been a widow for eighty-four years and had not departed from the Temple. She served God through fasting and supplications night and day. She arose at that hour and approached to give thanks to Hashem. She spoke about Him in the ears of all who were waiting for the redemption in Yerushalayim.

They completed everything after the Torah of Hashem. Then they returned to Galil, to their town in Netzeret. The boy grew and became strong in spirit and was filled with wisdom.

The kindness ( Hesed) of God was with Him.”

Luke 2: 21-39 Delitzsch Hebrew Gospels

A Torah-observant family

I sometimes smile when I see people asking on the internet: was Yeshua an orthodox Jew?

Anybody who reads the Gospels with an attentive eye will understand that Yeshua our Messiah comes from a Torah-observant family ( not only Miryam and Yosef, but also Zechariah and Elisheva, the parents of Yohanan the Immerser, John the Baptists were all obedients of the laws of Hashem).

The importance of the Brith mila

If you have assisted to a brith mila at the synagogue, you will probably know that a Jewish child receives his name on the very day of his circumcision. Nobody is allowed to reveal his name before the brith mila has been done. The child enters the alliance of Hashem on the day of the brith mila.

Presentation of the first born at the Temple and observance of the purification laws

The Torah establishes very clear and precise rules of conduct after the birth of a child, especially when for the first-born male in a family.

Exodus 13:2 states: ” Consecrate every firstborn male to me, the firstborn from every womb among the Israelites, both man and domestic animal; it is mine.”

About the sacrifice of purification, the Book of Leviticus specifies:

“If she cannot afford a lamb,  then she shall take two turtledoves, or two young pigeons; the one for a burnt offering, and the other for a sin offering: and the priest shall make atonement for her, and she shall be clean.” ( Leviticus 12:8)

This part of Scripture indicates us that Yeshua’s family was of modest social condition.

Hebrew wordplays that point at a face to face encounter with the Lord

Names of individuals are always very important, especially in Hebrew culture.

The Hebrew words that come out of Shim’on’s mouth at the Temple leave space for a dual translation. In fact, a subtle wordplay is created on the Name Yeshua:

כּי־ראוּ עיני את ישׁוּעתך

Ki ra’u einei at yeshuatekha

Because my eyes have seen your Salvation ( or your Yeshua).

Shim’on’s eyes have been granted to see Hashem’s Yeshua and this is not just a figure of style: it is a physical encounter with the Messiah.

Also the name שׁמעון, Shim’on in Hebrew has a profound meaning. It comes from the verb לשׁמוע, to listen, to to hear. It means “The Lord has heard our prayers”. The same root, shin mem, ayin שׁ,מ,ע is present in the Shema Israel.

Shim’on’s prayers have found a favorable ear in Hashem and he was able to see the Messiah before he died.

Hannah ( or  as spelt in the Delitzsch Gospels as Channah) is the daughter of Penuel, a name that means Face of the Lord ( פנוּאל). Hannah is led by the Spirit and her eyes are granted to see the One who will save people from their sins, Yeshua our Messiah.

Shim’on’s bitter sweet prophecy regarding Yeshua

crucifixion scene by Marc Chagall

Shimon’s prophecy indicates that our Messiah has a role to play with the Gentile nations and with Israel. He is Salvation to whoever repents and believes in Him. Yeshua loves each and everyone unconditionally.

Yeshua is described as  ” or goyim”, a light to the nations from Shim’on ‘s mouth and also in the Book of Isaiah, chapter 49, verse 6. He is the ” majesty to Israel’, the King of the Jews.

Shim’on foresaw Yeshua’s tremendous Suffering and His mother’s pain. He also underlined that our Messiah’s character would raise controversy among people.

Yeshua is still the object of division and disputes within families and different assemblies.

Following Yeshua our Messiah can be very demanding.

Some people abandon everything to be able to follow Him.

To the persons who would still be tempted to doubt that Yeshua has ever been raised as a Jew, please note that the Bible says: ” they completed everything after the Torah of Hashem ( where you translation says ” Law” it is meant “Torah” in Hebrew.)

A heart’s outcry in the middle of the Parisian streets (from “Heart of a Savior)

As our Lord did it for my two preceding books, Yeshua is truly writing “Heart of a Savior”, as I keep typing for Him. I am holding the feather; Yeshua is the author who molds each episode of my life into a meaningful story. Our Lord knows the beginning and He is aware of the end. I love the author of my instants, my days and my whole existence. I praise you, my Aleph and Tav, my Savior-King.
Today I hadn’t planned my walk at all; I just decided to walk the streets for the pleasure of marching and enjoying the cloud-free, sunny sky.
On my way back home, I saw a couple of Jews passing by. I felt pushed to say a silent prayer, so I addressed to Yeshua and asked Him: “May your Spirit dwell upon these two people.”
Unwillingly I had raised my hands a little bit. In this very intense moment, my ears caught our Lord’s Name escaping from a window. It didn’t have that usual, ironic, blaspheming tone some people are using jokingly. No, it was serious, it was coming from the depth’s of somebody’s within. Although I could not see the person pronouncing it, it indicated some deep thirst.
In the middle of demon-ridden, atheistic Paris, while I was raising a prayer towards Yeshua, somebody had pronounced our Lord’s Name aloud, with faith.

The sound of this voice made my soul shiver and my eyes were filled with tears. I just couldn’t contain my tears…

The Holy Spirit: do you have it?

Dear readers,

Please consider the question contained in the title of this article very seriously.

For this question is not between you and me, it is really a matter between Hashem and you.

Have you received His Holy Spirit? Did you really receive it?

The reason why I am insisting so much on this point is that I have been fooling myself over 20 years, thinking that I “had accepted Yeshua as my Lord and Savior”. During this period, I also thought that I had been given the Holy Spirit. I even spoke in tongues.

So how is this possible?

Actually, after having a REAL ENCOUNTER with Yeshua, I understood that I had confused my will to know Him and my interest in the historical Yeshua as well with having a true relationship with our Lord and knowing Him as a personal friend.

What about the speaking in tongues? Isn’t that supposed to be a clear sign of the Holy Spirit’s presence? My friends, I don’t want to scare you, but even the enemy can counterfeit speaking in tongues. By the way, did you know that New Agers also speak about the Holy Spirit-in a distorted way?

How do I know that I am saved?

John 1:12

“But to all who did receive Him, He gave the right to become children of God.”

It is very important that you do not live in an illusion regarding your Salvation; it could lead you to hell.

I know that I am saved because Yeshua encountered my path in July 2014. After I repented of my sins, Yeshua clearly asked me if I wanted to accept Him as my Lord and Savior.

While our Lord encounters people’s paths and reveals Himself in very different ways ( because He knows us intimately), the steps that lead you to Salvation are ALWAYS the same. It doesn’t matter if you are a beggar or a king, you shall:

-repent of your sins

-accept Yeshua our Messiah as your Lord and Savior

For those of you who doubt that you must be saved by Yeshua only, the verse of Acts 4:12 will dismiss any kind of doubt:

“And there is Salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under Heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”

Yeshua our Messiah is the key to Heaven. When you will accept Him as your personal friend, He will give you His Holy Spirit.  I can tell you that I noticed the difference. When Yeshua came to live within me forever, I sensed that He was available all the time, 24/7. I called Him and He answered!

How do I know that I actually have the Holy Spirit dwelling in me?

There is one common point that all the people ( regardless of their denominations and situations)

who received the Holy Spirit do have: LOVE.

“By this all will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” John 13:35

So if you keep your old gossiping ways and are still mean with your neighbor, as usual, there are great chances you are luring yourself about having the Holy Spirit at all.

Not only will the Holy Spirit teach you all things, it will also maintain you into Yeshua’s love.

If you want to know if the Spirit is dwelling within you, check your fruits.

“By their fruit you will know them. Do they gather grapes from thorns or figs from thistles?” Matthew 7:16

The same criteria you are using for yourself can be applied for anybody that encounters your path.

What assemblies and Scriptures won’t do for you

John 5:39

“You study the Scriptures in detail because you think you have the source of eternal life in them.

These Scriptures testify on my behalf.”

If you are still very judgmental, there are great chances you never repented at all.

Let me show you a recent example of something that happened to me.

When I am confronted with people who are advocating quantities of rituals and hours of Scriptures studies, i usually tell them all (regardless of their beliefs or confession): if you spend so much time into meaningless rituals and force yourself into Bible studies, you might really miss the most important: KNOWING YESHUA AS A PERSON.

I had a few persons reacting very angrily to my comment who went as far as doubting my Salvation and who pretented that I was sending people to hell by making this truthful statement.

Dear friends who are throwing abundant biblical verses at me in order to slate me, don’t you know that I can challenge you with ” It is also written…”, as my Lord and Savior did it in the desert?

The portions of Scriptures you are throwing at me are dead. They have no power without the help of the Holy Spirit.

I too have spent complete years imposing myself great portions of Scriptures and hours of prayers, yet my life remained unchanged, because I did not have the Holy Spirit.

Today I am reading small portions of the Bible that the Holy Spirit enlightens for me- and my life has changed tremendously. Yeshua helped me better myself.

Allow me, while I am at it, to go straight to the point that hurts.

The very truth is that people are indeed afraid to face Yeshua personally. Hiding behind a verse or an assembly is much more comfortable than looking into Yeshua’s eyes.

The Truth will mirror your own soul with your own imperfections. Meeting Yeshua personally, receiving His Spirit is accepting to see who you are and, believe me, it is very humbling.

So, to the people who think that Yeshua would approach me very close and let me “walk in lawlessness”, you are very wrong to make such assumptions.

When Yeshua approaches you very close as He did it for me, you are undergoing a process of purification. Getting into discipleship implies that you are going to sacrifice parts of your life for the love of Yeshua. It also implies that you will obey His commandments and keep walking in humbleness.

There is no boasting in the Holy Spirit.  Receiving the Holy Spirit is a daily walk in humility, sharing the Good News with the world and doing His will by any means.

May the Spirit of Truth be with you and guide you, always. In Yeshua’s Name, Amen.

Atheists or agnostics?

The Name of Yeshua, our Lord and Savior

Please note:

Neither is there Salvation in any other: for there is none other name under Heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. Acts 4:12

Many people in this world pretend to be atheists and brag about it. Actually I’ve met a few of them. I don’t think that “atheist” is the even the right word to define them, because the deeper I dig into a dialogue involving God with them, the more I am convinced that one could rather define them as “ignorant of God”, agnostics.

To the persons stating angrily: “Where is your God? I can’t see Him”, I object: “It is not because you are blind to see that He is not here.”

Our sight automatically opens when our hearts and motives are pure.

Yeshua said on the Sermon on the Mount: “Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God.” (Matthew 5:8)

These are not just empty words. I experienced them as a reality in my own life.

The accusatory finger

Woe to the one who quarrels with his Maker—

An earthenware vessel among the vessels of earth!

Will the clay say to the potter, ‘What are you doing?’

Or the thing you are making say, ‘He has no hands’? (Isaiah 45:9)
It truly amuses me when people, who are usually filled with lots of anger and frustrations point an accusatory finger at the Creator.

The particle of dust accuses the One who created it. How ironical is that?

What are these people usually angry about?

They are stating that God is responsible for religious wars, hypocrisy, abuse, cruelty and so on…

In fact, they are all unknowingly pointing at the very root of the problem: sin.

God did NOT create the world they are complaining about. Man, in its wickedness transformed it into a mess.
In the face of death and danger

“The fool has said in his heart: “there is no God.” (Psalm 14:1)

Many atheists have a boastful behavior. Many of the ones I have been discussing with have shown much arrogance in trying to prove the point that there is no God.

However, there are so many testimonies of blatant atheists who changed their behavioral patterns in the face of death or imminent danger.

They are actually calling :”please God help me”. Some of them are adding: “God, whoever you are, please help me…”

There are numerous testimonies of people accepting Yeshua as their Messiah in the last minutes of their lives. A catholic nun who was teaching us at primary school stated that these people were called “the workers of the last hour” and that they had experienced mercy in the same way the criminal on the cross who was next to Yeshua did.

In the face of death, all masks are falling. You cannot keep boasting and bragging with arrogance as you did before.

I would like to address today to all the people who know about Yeshua and His Salvation, but who think they have enough time to repent. Please REPENT NOW. You might not be given a second chance!

Be a truth-seeker

“You shall know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” John 8:32

You might feel lost right now, not knowing where to search. After all, there are so many religions and philosophies that promise you heaven or illumination or quantities of good other things. There are so many misleading doctrines inspired by New Age.

How can you access the Living God?

The Living God has been revealed to Israel in the Bible.

One can access Him through Yeshua our Messiah.

It is one thing to know the Bible…knowing the Bible ( even by heart and in its original language) will not get you saved.

What does that mean? It means that you need to have a personal relationship with Yeshua our Messiah. Will you make Him your King today?

Ask Him to save you and He will.

May you all be blessed by your read.
