The truth about Christmas’ pagan roots

Foreword aimed at the complainers, haters and enemies of the truth

comforting lies.jpg

I am perfectly conscious that debunking Christmas’ pagan roots is going to raise some huge controversy.

Don’t read this article if you are not ready to accept the truth. Truth is truth and it will not change, regardless of your anger or your denial.

When you come up to me, showing great anger for what I stated, on the basis of Scriptures, it is not me you are attacking. The truth is that you are being rebellious to the Almighty and that you favor customs of the world before Hashem’s command. Your choice. Also, be ready to bear the consequences of it.

Yeshua set me completely apart. I am not part of any assembly or corporate religion. I do not place anybody’s teachings before our Messiah’s. I will always place Yeshua’s words before anybody else’s words, be it a disciple.

I’ve been told that “I was ignorant of the pope and catholic church’s teachings” and that “I was telling lies” for quoting the Bible when writing about Yeshua’s mom. Well, guys, please report to the Creator of Heavens and earth next time you are dissatisfied with Scriptural evidence. Please make a complaint against me, that I favored Hashem’s word before the pope’s sayings and customs!

What Scriptures say about foreign practices
Many people claim to follow what Scriptures say. A lot of individuals actually quote verses by heart whose actual meaning they don’t understand ( because they are taken out of context, most of the time).

The same people will also find a way to justify their pagan practices.
How does Hashem feel with celebrations He never ordered?

“I HATE all your show and pretense-
the hypocrisy of your religious festivals and solemn assemblies” Amos 5:21

The Book of Deuteronomy clearly states:

“When you come into the land that the Lord your God is giving you, you shall not learn to follow the abominable practices/holidays of these nations.” Deuteronomy 18:9
The “Christmas tree” is an abomination to Hashem!
christmas-tree-idol-p
Here are prophet Jeremiah’s words about these trees, that are a very ancient pagan practice linked with idolatric practices.:

“The children gather wood, and the fathers kindle the fire, and the women knead on the dough, to make cakes to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto other gods, that they may provoke me.

Do they provoke me?, says the Lord, do they not provoke themselves to the confusion of their own faces?” Jeremiah 7:18-19

On a sidenote…

Interestingly, the prophet also mentions the  very pagan practice of ” queen of heaven” cult. Roman Catholics have transferred this pagan appelation to Mary ( Miryam, Yeshua’s mom in the Bible has nothing to do with this idolatry. Miryam was a Jewish, Torah-obedient person, who never claimed to be “God” or a “mediatrix” to men. Myriam praised Hashem and rejoiced in her Savior.)

Mary’s permanent virginity has no biblical foundation! The Gospel of Matthew clearly states that she remained a virgin until she gave birth to Yeshua. Then Yosef, her husband knew her, in the biblical sense of the word. The Gospels make a clear mention of Yeshua’s brothers and sisters.

Please note that the false dogma of the ” immaculate conception” goes back to 1854 and is the invention of pope Pius IX!

The truth about Christmas, a festival that combines several pagan traditions

pagan-practices

pagan-78

My question to all is the following:

“If you perfectly knew that a celebration is totally pagan and completely goes against God’s will, would you still celebrate it?”

saturnalia

  • The Gospel of Luke clearly points at our Messiah’s birth around late September-beginning of October. I’ve studied our Messiah’s birth chronology based on precise Scriptural indications and also by taking the Hebrew Calendar into account in a previous article.
  • False assumptions about our Messiah’s birth on December the 25th occured because they were based on the Gregorian calendar.
  • Because they wanted people to keep celebrating their pagan feasts, Roman emperors aligned our Messiah’s birth date with some lewd, idolatric pagan festivals in honor of god Saturn and the Iranian sun-God Mitra. For more details, please check the following source.
  • Everywhere someone celebrates Christmas, you will see a Santa Claus. My question to you: is Santa Claus a Bible character? No. So why do you celebrate him? Why do you make your children believe that this fairy tale character is real and that he is the one who distributes presents? Please also note that “Santa” is an acronym for “Satan”. Mere coincidence? I don’t think so!
  • “Put “Christ” back into “Christmas” is a hypocritical debate: our Messiah has never been linked with the pagan festival known as Christmas! The first disciples of Yeshua were all Jewish men and women. None of them even celebrated our Messiah’s birth. Christmas is not biblical-at all and you are not meant to celebrate it if you follow Yeshua our Messiah. Even Origenes ( who is far from being my favorite person because he allowed himself to remove the name Yeshua from Bar-Abba ( Barabbas), thus, distorting the subtle context of Yeshua’s trial before Pilate) clearly said: “in the Scriptures no one is recorded to have kept a feast or held a great banket on his birthday. It is only sinners like Pharaoh and Herod who make great rejoicings over the day in which they were born in this world.”
  • Finally, if you still doubt that it is WRONG and AGAINST HASHEM’S WILL to celebrate Christmas, please explore this very detailed resource about Christmas and its pagan meaning.

May the Spirit of Hashem convince you that Christmas celebration is a sinful behavior.

May the Spirit of Hashem guide you into true worship.

May your heart be committed to follow Yeshua the true Messiah of Israel.  May you be rooted in truth.

Thank you Hashem.

thanks-hashem

Hashem’s prophetic writing on the wall in the Book of Daniel

As a child, I have always been fascinated with biblical stories, especially by the way Hashem intervened powerfully and personnally in people’s lives.

I was in awe in front of the story of the writing on the wall, taken out of the book of Daniel. God would write prophetic words with His own hand and  the king would be able to see it!

Daniel chapter 5, the story

ESV Daniel, Chapter 5:1-31

“King Belshazzar made a great feast for a thousand of his lords and drank wine in front of the thousand.

Belshazzar, when he tasted the wine, commanded that the vessels of gold and of silver that Nebuchadnezzar his father had taken out of the temple in Jerusalem be brought, that the king and his lords, his wives, and his concubines might drink from them. Then they brought in the golden vessels that had been taken out of the temple, the house of God in Jerusalem, and the king and his lords, his wives, and his concubines drank from them. They drank wine and praised the gods of gold and silver, bronze, iron, wood, and stone.

Immediately the fingers of a human hand appeared and wrote on the plaster of the wall of the king’s palace, opposite the lampstand. And the king saw the hand as it wrote. Then the king’s color changed, and his thoughts alarmed him; his limbs gave way, and his knees knocked together. The king called loudly to bring in the enchanters, theChaldeans, and the astrologers. The king declared to the wise men of Babylon, “Whoever reads this writing, and shows me its interpretation, shall be clothed with purple and have a chain of gold around his neck andshall be the third ruler in the kingdom.”

Then all the king’s wise men came in, but they could not read the writing or make known to the king the interpretation. Then King Belshazzar was greatly alarmed, and his color changed, and his lords were perplexed.

The queen, because of the words of the king and his lords, came into the banqueting hall, and the queen declared, “O king, live forever! Let not your thoughts alarm you or your color change.  There is a man in your kingdom in whom is the spirit of the holy gods.In the days of your father, light and understanding and wisdom like the wisdom of the gods were found in him, and King Nebuchadnezzar, your father—your father the king—made him chief of the magicians, enchanters, Chaldeans, and astrologers, because an excellent spirit, knowledge, and understandingto interpret dreams, explain riddles, and solve problems were found in this Daniel, whom the king named Belteshazzar. Now let Daniel be called, and he will show the interpretation.”

Daniel Interprets the Handwriting

Then Daniel was brought in before the king. The king answered and said to Daniel, “You are that Daniel, one of the exiles of Judah, whom the king my father brought from Judah. I have heard of you that the spirit of the gods is in you, and that light and understanding and excellent wisdom are found in you.  Now the wise men, the enchanters, have been brought in before me to read this writing and make known to me its interpretation, but they could not show the interpretation of the matter. But I have heard that you can give interpretations and solve problems. Now if you can read the writing and make known to me its interpretation, you shall be clothed with purple and have a chain of gold around your neck and shall be the third ruler in the kingdom.”

Then Daniel answered and said before the king, “Let your gifts be for yourself, and give your rewards to another. Nevertheless, I will read the writing to the king and make known to him the interpretation. O king, the Most High God gave Nebuchadnezzar your father kingship and greatness and glory and majesty. And because of the greatness that he gave him, all peoples, nations, and languages trembled and feared before him. Whom he would, he killed, and whom he would, he kept alive; whom he would, he raised up, and whom he would, he humbled. But when his heart was lifted up and his spirit was hardened so that he dealt proudly, he was brought down from his kingly throne, and his glory was taken from him. He was driven from among the children of mankind, and his mind was made like that of a beast, and his dwelling was with the wild donkeys. He was fed grass like an ox, and his body was wet with the dew of heaven, until he knew that the Most High God rules the kingdom of mankind and sets over it whom he will. And you his son,[Belshazzar, have not humbled your heart, though you knew all this, but you have lifted up yourself against the Lord of heaven. And the vessels of his house have been brought in before you, and you and your lords, your wives, and your concubines have drunk wine from them. And you have praised the gods of silver and gold, of bronze, iron, wood, and stone, which do not see or hear or know, but the God in whose hand is your breath, and whose are all your ways, you have not honored.

“Then from his presence the hand was sent, and this writing was inscribed. And this is the writing that was inscribed: MeneMeneTekel, and Parsin. This is the interpretation of the matter: Mene, God has numbered[g] the days of your kingdom and brought it to an end; Tekel, you have been weighed in the balances and found wanting; Peres, your kingdom is divided and given to the Medes and Persians.”

Then Belshazzar gave the command, and Daniel was clothed with purple, a chain of gold was put around his neck, and a proclamation was made about him, that he should be the third ruler in the kingdom.

That very night Belshazzar the Chaldean king was killed. And Darius the Mede received the kingdom, being about sixty-two years old.”

Profanation and sin of idolatry

Always take our Lord’s words about idolatry very seriously. Our Lord condemns idolatry and when we are running after foreign gods we are making ourselves guilty of a bad sin. Jealous is Hashem of our hearts, He wants to possess them completely.

Many Scriptural sources mention the holy vessels, especially the Book of Exodus, Chronicles 1 and 2 and the Book of the Kings.

Objects that were consecrated in the Temple were aimed at cultual purpose.

Nebuchanezzar, Belshezzar’s father committed offense to Hashem and the Israelites by stealing the golden and silver vessels from the Temple.

But Belshezzar will make his father’s sin worse, to the point Hashem will intervene in a very personal way. The God of Israel is powerful and His might will be manifested.

Belshezzar gets drunk and acts on the impulsion of the effects of the vine. Not only does he order that he, his lords, his wives and his concubines might drink from them. One can suppose that in this pagan atmosphere, an orgy probably took place. But to add to God’s anger, he started praising idols.

At the sight of Hashem’s writing hand, Belshezzar realizes that something is very rotten, but his anguish is increased because none of his enchanters and astrologers is able to decrypt the message. The king promises a high reward to the potential interpreter.

The queen then remembers Daniel.

Daniel’s interpretation and the accomplishment of the prophecy

Daniel the prophet was a righteous and obedient man who observed the laws of the Eternal in a pagan kingdom.

The reader can observe that Daniel is not interested in the reward. He prompts to interpret Hashem’s prophecy. Daniel warns the king about the gravity of his fault before the Creator of the universe.

Daniel will be honored by Hashem and receive the king’s reward after uttering the dark prophecy aimed at the king:

Then from his presence the hand was sent, and this writing was inscribed. And this is the writing that was inscribed: MeneMeneTekel, and Parsin. This is the interpretation of the matter: Mene, God has numbered the days of your kingdom and brought it to an end; Tekel, you have been weighed in the balances and found wanting; Peres, your kingdom is divided and given to the Medes and Persians.”

Do not take idolatric practices lightly: they do weigh heavily in the balance.
